Carcar City Triumphs in Sinulog sa Lalawigan 2024 Ritual Showdown

In a spectacular display of cultural prowess, Carcar City emerged victorious in the Ritual Showdown of the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan 2024. Defeating 15 other contestants from diverse municipalities and cities in Cebu, Carcar City secured the championship, claiming a substantial cash prize of P3.5 million—P3 million from the Capitol and P500,000 from the Sinulog Foundation Inc. (SFI). This marks Carcar City’s second consecutive win, following their triumph in the 2023 competition.

Carcar City’s performance was not only a triumph but a sweep of excellence, securing additional accolades including the Sinulog sa Lalawigan Festival Queen, Best in Costume, and Best Musical Ensemble.

Street Dance Competition: Tribu Canamucan from Samboan Takes the Lead

In the Street Dance competition, Tribu Canamucan from the Municipality of Samboan wowed the audience and judges, claiming the championship and a noteworthy cash prize of P1 million.

The overall list of winners showcases the vibrant and diverse cultural expressions from different regions, celebrating the rich heritage of Cebu through the Sinulog sa Lalawigan 2024.
