Arrests and Identifications

From the report of GMA Regional TV News, Police confirmed the arrest of two individuals, known only by their aliases “Boboy” and “Inteng,” both 39 years old and relatives of each other. The apprehension, conducted on March 15, 2024, was carried out based on an arrest warrant for murder. The suspects’ alleged involvement in the fatal shooting, which occurred while Jumalon was live streaming his program. This underscores the chilling nature of the crime.

According to authorities, “Boboy” purportedly brandished a firearm at Jumalon’s radio station helper upon opening the gate. “Inteng” served as the getaway motorcycle driver for the assailants. The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) has intensified efforts to locate and apprehend alias “Ricky.” They are deploying various strategies to mobilize public assistance. The distribution of 50,000 flyers with a computerized facial sketch aims to engage the community in the manhunt. Authorities have dispatched an additional 20,000 flyers to Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ports in Mindanao. The P3.7 million reward incentivizes individuals with pertinent information to aid law enforcement.
