In a tragic incident in San Pascual, Batangas, a 33-year-old rider lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a truck in Barangay Poblacion. According to a report by Denise Abante from GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog, the accident occurred on Thursday in the early hours of the morning. The Incident

Authorities suspect that the victim may have fallen asleep while driving, leading to the collision. The truck driver, who was driving in the correct lane, observed the rider slumped over his motorcycle. It is believed that the rider may have dozed off due to the strong wind, resulting in the unexpected accident.

Police Major Ernie Delos Santos, head of the San Pascual Police Station, stated, “He was slumped over the handlebars of his motorcycle. It’s possible that he closed his eyes while driving due to the strong wind. He may have dozed off, which led to him veering into the truck’s lane.”

Victim’s Condition

Despite rushing the victim to the hospital, medical personnel pronounced him dead on arrival. The incident underscores the importance of exercising caution while driving. It emphasizes the need to remain vigilant, especially in situations that pose potential hazards on the road.
