According to GMA Regional TV News, the cyclist, who was heading home at the time, tragically lost control of his bicycle while speeding downhill. Eyewitnesses reported that he was thrown off his bike approximately five meters away as he attempted to navigate a curved portion of the road in Barangay Dalupaon, Pasacao.

According to Alvin Rodriguez, a barangay councilman, the cyclist’s brakes may have failed, causing him to lose control on the downhill slope. Multiple witnesses corroborated this account, emphasizing the challenging nature of the road.

Safety Issues in the Area
